Arc flash hazard analysis
Does your facility meet official standards for electrical power safety? By performing an arc flash hazard analysis, we can help you comply with OSHA regulations 29-CFR, Part 1910 and NFPA 70E. Our services cause little or no interruption to your operations.
Arc flash electrical safety consulting
Arc flash hazard analysis calculates the arcing fault current at each bus and through each protective device. Per NFPA 70E, we use this information to create arc flash hazard warning labels for electrical equipment and enclosures.
Short circuit and overcurrent coordination analysis
A short circuit study analyzes the electrical current that flows in the power system under abnormal conditions and calculates the maximum available fault current. With this information, we will provide the required minimum bracing and interrupting rating values of your equipment. We will also list the equipment that is overdutied and provide recommendations on how to address the issue.
Recommendations
With our recommendations on lowering your existing arc flash hazard level, you can reduce the amount of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
Labeling
Based on the results of our arc flash hazard study, we can install arc flash hazard warning labels designed to meet NEC 110.16 and NFPA 70E. We also create custom labels to meet your requirements.
Hazard training
We educate your employees on the dangers of an arc flash incident and explain what procedures to follow to protect your employees.
